Description
The listing, Cedar/Juniper Berry Navajo Indian Necklace has ended.
This is a Navajo made Juniper Berry Necklace with seed beads. The Navajo collect the juniper berries after they fall from the juniper trees. They have a small hole on one side, and making a hole on the other, they are able to string them and make necklaces. This is a very nice one. Measures approximately 18" long.
I lived in Arizona and collected several of these from the 4 corners area. I have actually collected juniper berries myself and used them for crafts. The Navajo consider them sacred and use the juniper tree for medicinal reasons.
