Picaridin has been used in Europe since 1998. It comes from a plant but apparently it cannot be deemed "natural" because of it's high concentration. It is noncancerous and during testing on rats and humans it "could be" a skin irritant in a few but in much higher concentrations than is in products on the market. The same thing can be said of capsain used in muscle rubs. That said, it certainly appears to be a much safer alternative tha Deet and other insect pesticides. Also, products containing Picaridin can be applied on clothing, sleeping bags, back packs, tents to repel insects if on doesn't want to put it directly on the skin. So, based on this info, I'm going to bid on this lot, thanks for putting up the auction!
