Description

The listing, 20 Vintage Yellow Buttons all Matching! Oval Mitochondria Warm Yellow with 2 Holes . .. Beautiful! has ended.

I purchased a vintage dress last year, just to make a pillow. Now I have some pretty cute buttons without a home.

Twenty matching 11/16" thin yellow buttons which I've dubbed the 'Mitochondria Buttons.' Smooth on one side with a very slight striated texture on the other. Opaque, but if you look real hard, you can almost see their DNA. hee hee.

It's not often one finds 20 of the same vintage button. Perfect for blouses, embroidery designs, a biology project.

Don't forget: mitochondria are semi-autonomous.

(nope, the pin cushion stays with me!)

They look like button "backs," you know, the button on the underside of the garment, so as to secure the front, visible button. ?? Are they plastic? CUTE.

Yes, they are so very cute . . . those little DNA rascals. They are plastic, or something like it as they're old, and they actually did come all together down the front of an old garment.

Glad you liked the old postcard, too! ;)

Since these are vintage buttons, they could easily be Bakelite. Very valuable since they don't make Bakelite, anymore. Just a thought.

That went through my mind, but I don't know how to test to verify and don't want to make any false statements. Thanks for your thoughts!

They're so warm and buttery . . . I just want to melt them in my mouth. ;)

They look like they could make petals to form a flower.
