I don't think so. As long as you purchase the item and scan this tag then it counts as 1 times out of the 4 scan needed to earn your $1 Extra Buck reward.

But you can scan only once in a day with your Extra care card. However, you cant split your purchase in 4 transactions and scan this 4 four times. I tried this :) but it counts one scan in a day.
