Old school type, 12v powered, 'CITY LITES', Automobile Strobe Control Module for EZ installation and control of your cars awesome decorative lighting.
The cigarette lighter receptacle in an automobile, initially designed to power an electrically heated cigarette lighter, became a de-facto standard DC connector to supply electrical power for portable accessories used in or near an automobile.
This module is a simple 'adapter' that allows you to use the 12v DC receptacle to not only power up the lighting, but to also allow the lightings effects to be controlled through it.
After the red and black wires from the lights are connected to the corresponding post on the back of the controller, and the controller is plugged into the receptacle, the knobs on the controller become those of the lights, and the can easily control some of the lighting effects. One knob controls the pattern modes, or flashes, af the lighting effects, and the other can be used to adjust the speed.


This auction is for the 'Controller Module Unit' which includes the power adapter to plug into the receptacle, And, that's it. It does not come with any installation instructions, or other paperwork. (but, I believe it's even mostly a Plug n Play Unit type unit that can be easily installed by anyone familiar with the some wiring.) It worked fine last it was checked, and then was put away for a while. I do not foresee any problems with using it other than it's probably limited range of controllable effects.

I bet a lot of things can be hooked up to and controlled by module unit is in some way. It may be fun to just experiment with things even if you dont have lighting effects available in your car. LOL!
