The listing, Vintage Orvin 17 jewel ladies watch has ended.

This is a vintage ladies wristwatch made by Orvin. It's an "everyday" style watch with flex band. Band is in pretty decent shape for it's age. It shows some wear and a little uneven but springs are in pretty good shape.

I wound it a little and set the time. Waited 15 minutes and checked it and it was still current. Popped the back and did a cursory check on the movement. Actually I was pleasantly surprised... the escapement movement appears solid and even. But that's the extent of my checking. Please understand this is a VINTAGE timepiece and will likely need a tune-up before too long. The crystal has some scratches and the band and case show wear. The rubber seal was also in better than expected shape, but unless you get it replaced I would not trust it to be waterproof.

Not a fan of changing it to GIN after it's been up a while. I know I'll bookmark things as I'm browsing the 'newly listed' items and come back to them later after I've thought about it a while. It just doesn't feel fair to me to change it 1/2 way through... Who knows you might get a bargain this way. Thanks! Rob

Love the watch, but just to be clear then this watch does not need a battery? Do you have to wind it then?

That is correct. It is a mechanical watch with a 17 jewel movement.
