It's a three piece set. It makes square little hamburgers shaped just like you know who. I always sprayed the tray with nonstick spray before using. This is a fun item to do with the kids. Let them mush the meat into the tray and then place the big square on top and push down. The lid allows us adults to actually do the job and then place the meat in the freezer for when we want it ready made. A word from an old hand at this article( this one has been used twice but I've owned three of them). I used to make buns from scratch. DON'T make it so hard on yourself. I learned that frozen bread dough from the store works great. Let it thaw, cut it into 9-10 pieces, shape in a ball, lay on baking sheet, let rise and bake. Doesn't get any easier than that.
