This is an older hard drive. Purchased it and never installed. Thought maybe someone out there might be able to use it. Please look at pictures for info on it.

I will only ship to Listia verified addresses. If you do not provide your confirmed address within 7 days of auction ending you will forfeit the credits you bid on the item. If you have any questions or complaints, please contact me, especially before giving any feedback. I am only able to go to the post office on Saturdays so shipping will be on the following Saturday after receiving your verified address through Listia.

how many pins does it have where it plugs in?

Not sure, it is in a case and is plugged into the adapter in it. The case then has an adapter that you plug into the computer. I am afraid I will break it if I pull the case out of the plug in slot. I can tell you that it says Toshiba on it if that will help.If there are any other identifying things that might help you, please let me know.

You will have to look at the pictures for any info as I do not know much about computers, only work with them. There is info listed on at least one of the pictures if that will help you. Thanks

This is the deal, if you want to ask legitimate questions or you want to bid, then do so. Rude comments and anything not pertaining to auction will be hidden. There are people who are still running older computers and someone might be in need of this.

1000 mb = 1gb that should give a rough idea of its capacity as for its age and capacity im pretty sure it has an ide interface and the adapter is just that...an adapter to plug into the pins you will not harm it as long as you pull gently on the connector where it parts from the pins on the hard drive, and as for your snyde commentators, that can go jump in a lake do you know how hard it is to fine vintage parts for older pcs and laptops. you are doing fine my man....good luck

Thanks, I was thinking the same thing about finding older parts. I have quite a few memory cards too. Maybe I should list those as well.

Maybe someone would just want this for saving some info on. Would probably be good for putting household inventory on and storing in a safe place. I have heard of people making unique items out of things like this, so sometimes you have to look past what the item was intended for, I know people who make really nice things out of nuts, bolts, bottlecaps, old wood people would generally throw away and other items. Sometimes making comments like that have nothing to do with what people want the item for. I listed what I knew about the item and there were a couple of others who were already kind enough to enter more info.
