The listing, Confederate War Bond Coupon - 1864 has ended.

This is a coupon from a Confederate States of America war bond issued in 1864! You purchased the Bond for $1,000, then you'd redeem these coupons every 6 months for $30. The redemption date is Jan.1, 1874, so had the South won, the Bond holder would have gotten back about $600 of his $1000 investment.

I believe the original bond was due to be redeemed on July 1, 1884, for a total return on investment of $1,200 ($30 every 6 months for 20 years).

Think about all those people who lost their money! $1000 back then.....wow!
