Description
The listing, ANTIQUE VERY COLLECTIBLE PIN!!! 1950's Korean War Pin has ended.
Very old Antique Pin!!! I usually do a lot of research before I sell my Antiques and Collectibles, however I'm so excited to sell this rare gem!!! I've always been so interested in Antiques and I have so many cool things that I collect. I'm building a business in buying and selling Antiques and Collectibles. So I always have very old things that I'm getting rid of on here or my website. I haven't done the research on this but I do know it's very very old obviously. Probably from the 1940's.
Update: A little info thank you to my new friend Texas Toast! A little info... thank you again!
This rare gem was awarded to men in the Korean war first in 1953. A National Defense Survival medal Ribbon pin for those who served in time for National emergency.
Questions & Comments
Thank you so much!!! I am posting some coins I've collected over the years right now :)
Antique? I was in the Coast Guard until 2001 and I have this National Defense ribbon and medal ; they are still issued so how do you know it's from the Korean war? The National Defense Service Medal is a service medal of the United States Armed Forces established by President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1953. The medal was first intended to be a "blanket campaign medal" awarded to service members who served honorably during a designated time period of which a "national emergency" had been declared during a time of war or conflict. It may also be issued to active military members for any other period that the Secretary of Defense designates.
It was my great grandfathers Anything from his time is considered Antique. That's amazing you were in it until 2002 but he was not. Thank you for your comment and for teaching me more about it.
Update: throwing in a bonus if the bids get up to 60!!!! It'll be another collectible pin. I have a lot of pins... Will post pics if I can but not home at the moment.
