This is a genuine 1968 campaign button for American Independent Party candidate George Wallace. It measures only ONE INCH across. It's a bit ironic that Wallace's slogan was "Stand Up For America" - in 1972 he was shot and crippled, never to "Stand" for anything again. He was confined to a wheelchair for the remainder of his life, and died in 1998. Please note condition of this 34-yr old button.
