The listing, Vintage Style Official Mattel Hot Wheels "Rally Wheel" Collector Carrying Case-Reproduction has ended.

This is a neat Mattel Hot Wheels brand licensed car collector carrying case. It looks like a rally wheel, and it is a reproduction of the original one that I think was first made in the 1970's. It is in very good used condition with all working latches and decals. I haven't attempted to clean it or anything, but it does come from a smoke-free home. My kids just end up throwing their cars in a tackle box or something rather than neatly organizing them into a case like this, so perhaps someone else will enjoy having this. I am including FREE US shipping on this item that I would normally let the bidder pay on an item this size, thus, the higher starting bid. Thanks for looking! Gibbs wants to know why you think this is a repop? Is there a print date on any of the decals? These were originaly (first run) produced in 1969.

There is a second copyright date on one of the decals that is in the 2000's. I don't have it in front of me right now but can update with the exact year tomorrow.

The year is printed not on a decal, as I'd stated previously without having it right in front of me, but on the black plastic itself, copyrights 1968 and 2007. I know from collecting Barbies that copyright box dates were the year before the doll was on the market, so you are correct about 1969 being when the original was sold. This is a neat reproduction but definitely not a late 1960's original item. Thanks for asking!
