If you package an item so that there is NO tape what so ever on the outside of the package you can track it all the way to the person in Canada. Just recently found that out last month when I mailed my son a gift. Other wise you can only track it to the boarder. The post office has to put their own sticker tape stuff on it instead of tape we would usually put on it. Hope that helps.
