I have no clue how to install this onto a laptop. I won 2 laptops on here. One of them is ancient. The other one has xp but I think it needs a modem in order to get on the internet. We don't know what brand this xp laptop is.

You must have a wireless network for this to work. Then the Laptop must have a port for this adapter to plug into. It is only a wireless adapter that will put you on the Internet if one is available at your house or within 150 feet. Happy Bidding :)
