They're just plain silver. =) I got this at the mall. I don't recall the exact store name, but it stocked a LOT of prom dresses and hair accessories for formal dances. I used it one time to a formal dance and haven't needed it since. I'm hoping to make sure it finds a good home where it doesn't just sit in a drawer, unused. =)
