Your description implies that it is safe to use for holding a brewed tea. Do you feel it is truly safe to use as a working tea pot? I would love to get this for my wife but she'd only want it if she could actually use it to serve tea from for herself. (But, I won't want to get her something that could possibly be for decorative use only.) Thanks! f&w

I honestly see no problem using it for tea, I would use it if i didn't already have over 100 teapots!
