Gorgeous! I am an artist too, but had not thought about putting up my creations on Listia. Maybe I will give it a go? Do you think this is the best category for artists? I wonder if our work will get lost among all the other things.

I think these were my favorite ones to make. I used all kinds of stuff on these, paint, alcohol inks, glitter-you name it and I threw it in the mix..lol!

I made a bunch of clay with alcohol inks and gold leafing. I am making plans to cover paper mache` boxes with it. Have you done that before?

I have covered glass jars (baby food jars) to make votives but not ever done paper mache boxes. I actually have a bunch I was going to list but they are huge.

I'm wondering if there is a way we could ask Listia to add separate category for hand-crafted/artistan items. As an artist, I would much prefer to be able to search through others' artwork without having to look at crochet hooks, scrapbooking paper, etc.

I am so new to listia that I am still learning the ropes, but that does seem like a reasonable request. The only problem I see is where do you draw the line between 'artisan' work and 'grandma crafts'? This isn't meant to critique anyones work but it is subjective (beauty is in the eye of the beholder). Someone just messaged me about one of my pendants-they felt the color scheme didn't match-so that tells me that it would be hard to create a category that would fit.

Sometimes and when I feel like that I do hang on to a piece longer but eventually I give it up. As long as I have pics then I'm ok.
