The beloved Silver Maple Leaf celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2019, making this issue particularly significant. This coin gives you the chance to share in this landmark celebration. It was struck from .9999 fine silver at the Royal Canadian Mint and has a couple of security features that make it extremely difficult to counterfeit. One of these is a radial line finish that provides a light-diffracting pattern that is unique to each coin. The reverse design also has a laser mark within a textured maple leaf. The final two digits of the year of production are micro-engraved within the tiny leaf. The coin comes in GEM Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

The obverse bears Susanna Blunt's portrait of Canada's head of state, Queen Elizabeth II.
