Yes, if you follow the instructions. You don't suppose to put the vegetables or fruits there after you cut them. Although, I took several lettuce pieces for eat and put it back to the bag without any problem but for other things you can't do that.

I used some that I got from my mother in law and put different fruits in them. they work really well.
