Wow, stunning as well. I guess I need to get busy listing things without photos!

Do you have a scanner? You can try scanning things, then cropping them in, some people do that. Your cell phone camera might work ... just take the photos from far enough away that they are in focus, then crop in.

The other option is to auction a gift card and just use a stock photo, but gift cards aren't going as high as they used to. Check the current gift card offerings to see what is doing the best if you choose that route, but it will get you some credits quick.

I will have more of these, so don't panic. Hopefully the ebay seller will get you a replacement camera quickly ... have you heard from that seller yet?

I did try scanning!!! It was so frustrating! I auctioned off a children's book that the bidder loved because it's a great book, but first I scanned the cover. It looked great! It went to the computer, but WOULD NOT go onto the listia site. I had to give up after trying a number of times. And I wish I knew how to do a stock photo thing; I have lots of stuff... I'm really inept on the computer.... I have tried right-clicking on the photo, but I don't know how to get it on the listia page :(

Some people seem to get decent images from scanners, but I'm sure scanners vary a lot. I think the reason why yours wouldn't upload is that they were very large files. You have to save image files as jpeg ... generally the format of the original files is a lot larger, not sure why that is. Some cameras now automatically save photos as jpegs, but I doubt scanners to that, although you may be able to set your software to do that automatically.

Will you ship free to sb? ;)
Honestly the stuff you said is really over my head. Last night I was trying like crazy to upload stock pictures by right clicking, saving, and putting on a listing. Everything seemed to work, but in the end the listing would not display the photo. I don't get why everyone else is able to get it to work. So as a result I had to cancel the listings. The things I have listed now are without photos... very frustrating... oh well.

When you save the final photo that you have cropped, be sure to SAVE AS a JPEG. Otherwise the photo will usually save in the same format it was originally, and those files are too big, and most web sites won't upload them. So, just SAVE AS and then look for the jpeg option (or jpg).

I'll ship anywhere in the US ... not sure what you mean by SB.

The ones that ended last night were a darker color aqua ... but they are all pretty, and you can certainly mix light aqua earrings if you are wearing darker aqua in a necklace or bracelet! Good luck!

I'll try to make up some more earrings in this and similar colors in the next few weeks. I've got a ton of Pandora beads but am waiting to see which ones the kids and their friends like, to make up bracelets as gifts. Once I decide which ones to keep I'll offer more groups of the beads, and more earrings in a lot of different colors.

i have a silly question, "what's pandora?"
Jun 23rd, 2010 at 6:31:13 PM PDT by

It's a style of charm bracelet ... a thick bracelet and you buy the beads individually to fill it up. Actually there are several brands, generically they are called European style charm bracelets.

oooh wait, i think i may have figured it out myself, is it the designer?

I honestly have no idea where the name came from, but Pandora is a brand name for a seller of the euro style charm bracelets. I came up with the idea to make the earrings on my own, but there might be other people out there making them too.

LOL, which question did you mean? I'm at the hotel so fooling around a bit on the computer before I go to bed. After 300 miles the AC in our car crapped out, but we found a mechanic here in Zanesville, Ohio who fixed it for us after we got here, but now the back electric doors on the van won't work ARGH. Cats are really freaked out, I feel so sorry for them!

This is one of my favorite colors so I'm not sure I'll make more in this color until I figure out how many I don't need. I wear a TON of aqua and light blue in the summer, but I'm sure a lot of us do! I'll probably make at least one more pair to list though, at some point, maybe later this summer.

I'm up at 3 am because now the AC in the HOUSE is not working. I fooled around with it and it's running for the moment, but the danged house is hotter inside than outside. Supposed to cool off tomorrow and the north wind is just starting to come in, thank goodness. Woke up sweating, 84 degrees in here.

Yikes! This is one town that almost never is hot at night, outside, anyway.

Oh, it stays hot here. It's even been hot in Iowa at night sometimes in the last few weeks.
