Description

The listing, Here we go again, guess the dish and win! has ended.

This auction is for a delicious recipe for "Civet de Senglar" adapted by me for the American kitchen. I'm not going to tell you what the dish is, but you can take a guess by the name, the picture, and the fact that I posted this recipe before.

Anyway, you have two ways to win this DELICIOUS recipe:

1) Bid!!!!

2) Guess the *secret ingredient* in the recipe. Hint: it's not the type of meat used, it's something else, that you can't really see. That's why you get to guess.

Put your guess in the comments. I will e-mail let anyone who guesses correctly know after the auction.

I love the guesses. Still, no one has hit on the secret *ingredient* yet.

So here is a hint.

What I love the most about cooking is tracing how ingredients and techniques from one culinary culture move into a different one.

This dish - whatever it is - is a pretty straightforward European stew (as in meat cooked in a sauce). But it has a link to the new world that's not too obvious.

Civet de Sanglier is made using wild boar,(deer can also be used) bold red wine, lemon juice, vinegar, cloves, cardamon, cinnamon, are a few of the ingredients I know off hand; I know it has to cook a long time & usually served over pasta. Let me know if I got it. F&W&Bidding....fan back please......
