Actually it's quilting all around on the background fabric. The raised flower motif is trapunto (art of stuffing a design - my definition). This pattern does it a little differently than the usual way - easier actually. To me it's the most beautiful form of quilting. Yes, I recognize you as a fan and I thank you.
