No it has been read a couple of times and has minimal wear from that, but otherwise it is in excellent condition.

Is this a different book than the one by patterson called "Private"?

Yes it is 2nd in a series of 3 books, Private is the 1st book in the series.

I guess I am not sure what you mean by 1st edition...it is the 2nd book in a series of 3 as stated in the comments.

If it's a First Edition, it'll say First Edition on the Copyright Page.

There is no edition specified on the copyright page only a 2012 copyright, so I guess it is not a 1st edition. Thank you for the help! ;)
