These are actually a little more than an inch long, about 1 1/8 inch.

Headpins with balls are great for making earrings and pendants, see my photos for many examples of how to use them. With the little ball on the end, you don't need to add your own "end bead" to prevent the larger beads from falling off. I added a few extra to each bag... some of these are slightly bent but you can still use them (I do). And, I will not send you any badly bent headpins.

are the pins cut-able?

Yes, headpins are always cut-able. You make your earring or pendant, and leave enough space to make a loop, cut off the excess with a jewelry wire cutting tool, then make your loop. I leave about 1/3 inch for my loops.

I will have these Get it Now starting Sunday night, in two sizes, 1 and 2 inch, silver plated. I also have one lot remaining of my non-silver plated headpins with balls and will list those as well (you get more headpins for the "money" because they are cheaper than silver plate.

LOL, no, I don't sell the necklaces, just the beads and findings. I include the photos to show what the spiral tube beads and other beads look like. You have to make your own!

You use them to make earrings or pendants. Stack your beads on them, make a loop in the end and attach to earring wires or a necklace.

do they need to be cut with wire cutters can they be cut with really sissors?

You need wire cutters. You probably CAN cut them with scissors, but it would ruin your scissors and make an uneven cut in the headpin. All you needs is a small wire cutters. You can buy them in a hardware store for a few dollars, or can get chain-nose pliers for jewelry making in craft stores.
