Here we have a Verizon Blackberry Curve 8530 in violet! I LOVED this phone! Had it for just under 2 years before I upgraded to an iPhone! Truth be known - I do miss my Blackberry from time to time, BUT I wanted to list it for someone who needs a great phone! I took extra care of it! It has very few small scratches on the face. You can actually see one in the second picture I posted. I never had an issue with this one, but I have been finding out how difficult it is to port it with other cell phone carriers. PLEASE - PLEASE make sure you can port this to your carrier BEFORE you bid! I would surely hate to upset someone if they receive it and it is useless to them. I know that T-Mobile will NOT port this phone because of Sim card issues. Your best bet is IF you have a Verizon account. I have put the phone back into it's factory settings, so it is ready to go. I am also sending it's wall charger, instruction booklet and the USB download cable.

I hope this is enough information, but if more is needed - please send me a message and I will get back to you ASAP! I will do my best to answer any questions! This phone is in really great condition! Needs a home!

was wondering if you could call verizion on the phone and ask them if the phone is cleared to be used as a prepaid. they would be able to tell u but i can not ask them cause i do not have the numbers on the back of the phone

It has a slot for the Sim card, but I did not have one in there, so you might be able to use your AT&T Sim card, BUT I would check first! Cell phone companies these days are super picky! LOL! Blackberry's carried by T-Mobile, AT&T and Nextel have Sim cards, but Boost Mobile, Sprint and Verizon Blackberry's do not. It's weird like that! If you have an AT&T Sim card - make 100% positive that it will work in a Verizon Blackberry! PLEASE! :)

That is what I was told. I originally wanted to give this phone to a friend's daughter and they have T-Mobile as their carrier, and they would not allow it. If you want to bid - just check with your carrier first. I cannot stress that enough! Thanks! :)

I am not sure of the exact date, but I got it in March of 2010 and I paid $180.00 for it. :)

It does have a slot, but it did not come with a Sim card because Verizon does not use them. My apologies, but I do not know what " micro " means? Can you explain that to me, so I can further help? Thanks a million!

Verizon Blackberry's do not come with a Sim card. If you have a different carrier - please check with them to see if a their Sim card will work. :)
