Does the battery hold a charge? I'm asking because I got one off here before from another seller and it died overnight with no use even though it was fully charged.

Yes. I charged it and then had it off and unplugged for almost this whole auction. It worked just fine.

That is what it is on is the power base that is the USB charger that hooks up to the computer that transfers everything to the Ipod.
