The listing, >> Advertise YOUR auction and help me out at the same time? Plus, a pretty red Hibiscus flower! has ended.
I read, reread and triple read the rules and don't see where this is not allowed, so here goes...
I love Listia. I always fan people who have auctions of items I like even if I don't bid on them and especially if they post auctions that are fun to read because of their humor or creativity.
Seems my doing that has me temporarily penalized. My fan-to-fanning ratio is too high. so I'm not allowed to fan anyone until that percentage is a lot closer. This is the explanation I am presented with when I try to fan someone: "Fans are a fun way for you to follow other users on Listia! When you become a fan of another user you will be able to see their newly listed auctions in "My Listia". There is a limit on the number of users you can become a fan of. You are allowed to become a fan of 1000 users, but after that the ratio of your fans to users you fan has to be greater than 90%. If you do not meet this requirement you will not be able to fan any more users until you increase your ratio."
Sigh.
I like you, really. I'm just not allowed to show it.
So, bid one credit (or however many you want) on this lovely photo I took of a red hibiscus in the yard of my old house in St. Petersburg, FL. I'll email (NOT postal mail... just EMAIL) a copy of it you at the end of the auction for the credits you bid, but I'll still hold the copyright on it. Even if you don't want the photo, please fan me? Not arbitrarily or just because I asked you to - please go look at my closed auctions and make sure I am worthy of your fanning?
I don't consider this fan-begging. Yes, it's great to have a bunch of fans, but to me, it's more important to have an experience percentage of 100%. As long as all the auctions I'm involved in are great experiences on both ends, I'm happy.
So, feel free to advertise your ONE best auction here this ONE time in the comments. If you don't have any, say something nice or tell a funny (not offensive) joke?
And don't forget to fan me? :-)
