The last of the larger dollar coins! This American classic dates back 41 years and was minted in Denver. The mint discontinued the larger "Silver Dollars" in 1978 and replaced them with the smaller Susan B Anthony dollar coin which turned out to be a flop because the new coins were confused with quarters and people didn't like carrying them around. Although this "Ike" pictured in this listing does not contain silver, it is still a piece of history - the last of its kind! - and would make a great keepsake or heirloom to pass on to the grandkids.
