The VitalWrap System consists of two components: a control unit and tubing set The control unit, which includes a fluid reservoir, manages the temperature of water used by the system to supply heat or cold to the fabric wrap attached to the body. By pumping the water through a heat-exchanging bladder inside the wrap, the control unit warms or cools the water to match the proper temperature setting, delivering precise and safe thermal therapy.

I got this system about three years ago, and never used it more than 30 minutes at the most, one time. It is a moist type of therapy, with a really big reservoir and pump that circulates the water around, for better and faster recovery of your tired, sore, and achy muscles. Can be used on any part of the body that the velcro pad can wrap around. Pad is quite large, so can wrap around arms, legs, torso.

Comes complete with water tank, tubing, velcro heating pad, and carrying case with shoulder strap.

Oh, and also includes power cord. Comes from a pet friendly home, but is very clean and has not been out of the case except for pictures. Picture 1 shows plug going from heating pad into the tubing. Blue tubing is about 6 feet long, I think. Picture 2 shows outside of carrying case, very nice case, zippers around the top, with hand strap and shoulder strap for carrying/travel. Inside case is a compartment at the top covered in blue mesh that contains power cord and blue tubing for water pump. Pictures 3, 4, and 5 show outside of tank. Picture 6 shows a small portion of tubing for water pump. Picture 7 shows top of tank. Picture 8 shows part of the heating pad that will secure around the body with velcro. Last picture shows shoulder strap.

The tank can hold hot or cold water, and will keep water temp regulated to your desire. Can even put ice cubes in outer ring of tank for cold therapy! Pad itself is machine washable.

It is approximately 56 inches.

The pad measures at 56 inches. Yes, you may lay on it, or it can be wrapped around you at any point on your body, like your back, knee, shoulder, whatever.

And, I guess I should mention, the back side of the pad is all velcro, so regardless of your size, or the area being treated, you can secure it since it has the velcro. The pad expands with the hot or cold water that you put in the tank.
