The listing, Ladies Wig Synthetic Medium Brown w/ Highlights Lady Diana Cut has ended.
This auction is for an eBay wig I purchased last week that arrived today. It was sold as an untagged Noriko, but having received it, and washed and conditioned it, I am truly skeptical.
The cap is Noriko like, in that it is a standard open weft design with two elastic adjustment straps. The cap is in great shape. However, I wear wigs nearly every day. I am most familiar with Noriko, Rene of Paris, Tony of Beverly, and Yaffa, and I don't feel this wig is of the quality of those brands. The fiber is different, and there is a lot of perma-tease at the top. It seems to be stiffer than I like, and doesn't move as naturally as I would want in a wig.
The good news is, the color is lovely. The wig isn't labeled, but I would guess it is an 8/12 or 8/14 in color, with the top and front noticeably lighter than the underside near the nape. When tucked behind the ears, the cut is very reminiscent of Lady Di hair from the mid-80's. But, and this is a big but, I personally wouldn't feel confident wearing this wig in public. I feel the perma-tease is too obvious, and I don't like the lack of movement. I know I am picky, and it might work fine for someone else, I just want to offer an honest assessment since wigs are such a personal and important purchase.
I would recommend this wig for someone with a mannequin who sells clothes, as a backup wig around the house, or as part of a costume or theater production. Under very strong light, it seems to light up like a Christmas tree and looks Barbie Hair-ish to me. Under my natural light lamp, as you can see, the wig photographs very well.
The wig has plenty of life left in it, and even though it's not exactly what I was looking for, hopefully someone on Listia can find a good use for her.
