Description

The listing, Hens & Chicks ~ 4 varieties ~ FREE SHIPPING! has ended.

This auction is for a variety of 4 different hens & chicks babies.
I'll send the winner 1 of each of the babies I have growing now.
I wish I could tell you what their sophisticated names are, but sadly, I just bought them and planted.
The colors range from the norm in the rooster planter to beautiful plum colored, dark silver, to the amazing stalk type which produces flowers.
Beautiful, one and all, and SO easy to maintain.
Mine stay outdoors 12 months of the year, and come back heartier every spring!

The flowering stalk that you see in the 3rd pic is almost 7 inches tall now!
I'll send a baby, and you can watch your own grow like mine!

Good luck to you! I bought the pot at Garden Ridge. I believe they're in many states, and maybe even online. I love cobalt blue. If you have a large variety of these, you should auction some babies on Listia! I'd bid. I'd like to get as many different ones as I can.

I am re-landscaping my front yard and have been looking for these succulents for a while. I have a large jade plant that I've had for years that I keep inside. This year I stuck some in some planted outside plants outside and they are doing great. Do you know if I could plant these right in the yard or should I stick with containers? I live in Alabama and would like to make a cactus garden if they will come back. Sorry for going on but I figured you would know how they would do.

I live in Missouri, where we have much harsher winters than Alabama.
These h&c will flourish there! You can plant them in the ground, in pots, with no need to worry about bringing them inside.I bring clay pots in for the winter here, but my old fashioned metal buckets stay outside all year. They keep coming back every spring.
I've seen them used in crevises in walkways, rock gardens, and even in a screened frame, hung on a garden wall.
Google hens&chicks, and you'll see all kinds of neat ways to show them off.

Thanks! And good luck to you all!
We are suffering from a real drought here right now, with temps of 106-107, for the last couple of days. Hoping these will be "fresh" looking when they arrive @ your house. I'll be sure to wrap them with moist paper towels, then inside a ziplock baggie.
My biggest fear is that they will languish in a hot mail box all day.
I'll do the best I can on my end!
