Hand Knitted afghan 5' x 5' red and white. I do not know much about this piece OR WHAT IT IS MADE OF but the woman who made it died last year and she never had children so she traveled the world.... She painted, carved, quilted, and sewed and traveled the world, spoke several languages and got many degrees.
In good physical condition but needs a VERY good cleaning...It wasn't used at all, It originally came from a smokers home but it has been in my warehouse for five years which is very clean and smoke free so to me it does not smell bad and I think it has mostly aired out. it came from a woman that never married and never had kids and she knitted, traveled, carved, painted, and studied other languages...... a true "renaissance woman" that was very talented. It needs a really good cleaning and your nose may be more sensitive than mine so please bid on it knowing it may smell like a warehouse to you and it needs a really good cleaning, but it is a spectacular hand made piece.
