The listing, 10 more FIMO CANES un sliced. has ended.

10 un cut fimo canes! These are great for nails, cards, arts and crafts. Slice thin for crafts ***to apply use a tiny bit of nail glue or almost dry nail polish and then cover with topcoat! I have used them on my wedding invites, cell phone, kindle, iphone, ipad, keys, I've sliced them thick and made tiny beads. What will you do with them??

OMG, thats what these things can be used for? When I was really little I got a TONNE of them and I thought they were just erasers (and they worked) Well I feel silly...

so they are soft enough to make a bead out of them? if so they are soft do you have to bake them. Still learning about them in in the cane form. I love fimo beads though i just won one with a tiger on it. to watch how they make a simple bead, it I think it is increadibly hard to make one with a tiger on it with trees in the background at such a small peace of art bead. and it goes all the way through to the other side. Thanks for listening

well that is a good question. they are easy to slice with a razor blade, so i would say yes. I don't know if they dry out and harden or if they would need to be baked. I received them sealed and I keep them in a ziploc baggie to keep them soft. I noticed some of them tend to be a little firmer than others. they still cut but makes me wonder if they would harden after being set out in the air for a while....

Fimo is a polymer clay. I am a polymer artist. If you want it to harden like a bead you would need to bake it in the oven at the set temperature for that particular brand of polymer clay. Each brand bakes at a different time. You can find the bake time by googling the brand or by purchasing a raw package from Michaels or your local hobby store. Also you need to have a dedicated oven because if you burn it the fumes are just nasty and you do not want that to get in your food. I am fanned and watching =)
