What a great old book. It comes from American Thread Co. Star Book No. 173. It's price is marked 29 cents. The title is " Knit, Crochet, Embroider and Braid with AUNT LYDIA'S Heavy Rug Yarn". It is a soft cover book with 35 pages. It measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 5 1/4 inches wide. There are patterns for slippers, placemats, table covers, totes, purses, pillow covers, throw rugs, embroidered dress and apron. The best though are the dolls, and poodle covers for bottles, hairspray cans, and toilet tissue covers. Many of the items are pictured on the front and back covers (see photos). If you enjoy needle crafts, you will love this old time book. It doesn't have a date on it, but I'm guessing the 60's or early 70's. Lots of fun, andremember " everything old is new again".
