Up for grabs an official game used baseball that I caught on April 7 in Lancaster during a game between the Modesto Nuts and the Lancaster Jethawks. The California League is an advanced Class A league that been in existence since 1941.

The eight teams are:
Northern Division
Stockton Ports (Oakland Athletics)
Modesto Nuts (Seattle Mariners)
Visalia Rawhide (Arizona Diamondbacks)
San Jose Giants (San Francisco Giants)

Southern Division
Lancaster Jethawks (Colorado Rockies)
Rancho Cucamonga Quakes (Los Angeles Dodgers)
Inland Empire 66ers (Los Angeles Angels)
Lake Elsinore Storm (San Diego Padres)

Advanced A ball is below AA Leagues like the Texas League or the Eastern League.
Advanced A ball is above A Leagues like the Midwest League or the South Atlantic League.

Pedro Martinez, Mike Piazza, Ken Griffey, Jr., Jose Cruz, Jr., Nolan Arenado, Charlie Blackmon, Jose Canseco, Mark McGwire, Rickey Henderson, Mike Trout, and many others have played for a California League team as a stepping stone to the major leagues.
