My sister bought this charming glass heart on a trip to Lourdes, France, in 2009.
This region has been known worldwide, since 1858, for the supposed healing properties of the water that comes from the very pure spring. Studies have shown that the water is pure and contains chlorides of soda, lime and magnesia, bicarbonates of lime and magnesia, silicates of lime and aluminium, oxide of iron, sulphate of soda, phosphate, and organic matter. Thousands visit Lourdes each month of the year and thousands have claimed to be healed there. Believe what you wish. I just have the memorabilia from the mystical healing spring.
The glass heart is shown next to a penny for size relationship. Yes, you can have the penny, too! The heart is orange with blue flowers and has a gold tone glued-on bail. It has never been worn. My sister bought it and left it in her jewelry box, in the little bag that it came in.
