not sure what it is used for but I gave you pics of the ends

dvi is hdmi in the 1990's. this will not work on an hdmi port. if you have vga you can buy a dvi to vga from amazon. Now for the uploader you need to specify if this id dvd-I or dvi-D of Dvi-i(18+1)(18+5)(24+1)(24+5) or Dvi-D(18+1)(18+5)(24+1)(24+5). these numbers are the amount of pins the numvber 180r24 is the pins on the left you will have more of these then the pins on the right which is either 1 or 5. I am a computer it pro, and i just bought a dvi-d(24+1)male dvi-d to female vga. So please upload the specs on what type of dvi cable you have so its more clear that a bidder with dvd-i or dvi-d knows what they are bidding on and not disappointed when they get the wrong cable because of misleading info. Thanks

Not trying to be misleading... Have a close picture of the pins. I had NO idea what this was when I first listed it. I had added things as people told me to make things clearer. I will try to figure out what it is from your explination and add more info
