The listing, Double Papaver Poppies- 2 colors- 50+ seeds has ended.

These gorgeous poppies were ordered year before last from a seeds company, and I kept about a million seeds from my plants. I planted them in the fall, and they flowered in mid spring. Winner gets a mixture of both.

are these drought tolerant? it is very hot and dry in east texas most of the summer! and my soil is sand--do you know if they will grow in sand??

They do thrive in hot dry climates......... they are from the middle east. I don't know about sandy soil, but I think all they have over in the mid east is sand.

I think the best way to get them to germinate is to acclimate the seeds before planting. Once they germinate, the hard part is over and they just take off.
