They're kindof like stickers. You take off a sticky side then put it on your nail then trim it at the edges. They're really easy although you might have to do one nail a couple times to get the hang of it. I got the hang of it the first time I used it and it just gets easier. In my opinion they last longer than regular polish, but I'm sure it's different for everyone. Also if you have short nails you can cut these in half and get twice the uses out of them. They come with better instructions, but thats the best I can explain it!lol
