This necklace is in excelent shape. It holds a picture that is 1"x3/4". The frame is 1 1/4"x15/16". The chain is 18" long. None of it is real gold, but it is pretty. There is a small hole in the back of the frame that you have to stick something small, like a needle or earring post or something else small, into it to push out the clear plastic that holds the picture in place. The plastic has a couple tiny scratches that aren't even noticable, and it does not fall out of place, it stays snuggly where it belongs, but it is not hard to get out when pushed from behind. Great to put a picture of the kids or the hubby or the pet in. Whatever you love, this is a great way to carry it everywhere you go! I love this necklace, but i have never had anything I really wanted to put into it. I dont want to hang onto it until I have kids, and at that point I'll find something else.
