Not always. It really just depends on the type of skin you have. If you have a lot of acid ini your skin, then yes. Other people, myself included can wear silvertone all day long and not have our skin turn green. So, there's really no way of knowing until you have owned a silvertone ring if that will happen. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
