The inspiration for this unique piece of jewelry is the game of Mah Jongg, the Chinese game which was brought to the US in the 1920's, and is still played today. This one-of-a-kind jewelry piece began its life as a vintage domino, hand-painted in a marble-like swirl of gold and green. It was then hand-stamped with an art-nouveau image along with a chinese coin. The finished piece has a clear acrylic finish for protection.

This is an extremely versatile piece of jewelry as it has a pin on the back and can be used as a brooch; it also has two bails (top and bottom) and can be used as a pendant with a silk cord (included in the auction).
