This is a very nice, sturdy clip-on light which allows you to read at night without disturbing anyone, or just to set the right mood for your book. It is actually on in the picture, but it's daylight so you can't really tell. Happy bidding.

what size batteries? how long do they last?

It takes three button cell batteries. It says AG13 inside. No idea of its lasting power. I have used it only once, and got it a few months ago, so it should be good to go for a while.
