This was given to me by my Father, who has NEVER owned a computer. He bought a desk top and gave me this. I don't need two, but I need credits! My bro-in-law who is a computer guy ran it and these are the specs he came up with
P111 processor
60mb hard drive
256 mb
cd-rom-recordable
Dell service tag no. 9xt5211

Other than that, all I can tell you is this machine is very sharp looking!! No scratches , VERY NICE! I will be listing a carrying case as well, in case you dont need a laptop, but need a NICE carrying case! Shipping will be paid by me! US only! This system usually comes with Windows 98 unless they upgraded. Do you happen to know if it was upgraded? Even the disc drive is original,right! What is it ,a (CDR)only and not a (DVDRW+/-) ?

I feel so awful that I don't know more. I will try to see what else I can find out. I am soooo uneducated when it comes to laptops. I can't just look at it and tell about the cdr question.I took as many pics at dif. angles that I could hoping it would help. All I know for sure is that cosmetically, it looks great, very well taken care of, and it did start right up for my bro-in-law.

Its pretty easy installing up to date software.That shouldnt be a problem.Theres nothing you should do to it,whoever wins it( I hope its me) we'll take care of installing the new software,if it needs it. Is that what made you dizzy? haha, just being corney! Yes, it is definately not a net book by any means. But still really nice. Maybe even for a kid in school, or an adult who only has a desk top, and wants to be in another room, watching tv or something while listing items on Listia, but cant because they dont have a laptop!!lol

Pentium 3 850 mhz

If it has more RAM than 256mb
then you could put Winxp but it would still be slow.
it's enough to watch movies on, surf the net, listen to music and play old games on.
i've got a 300 mhz with 256 ram that will do that.

Hello, this might sound stupid but here I go, I live in a double bungalo and the people downstairs bought me a wireless net gear, so they could have computer free, now if I got this laptop of your does it have everything built into it to make it work on my wireless net gear, the reason I ask my girlfrien has a newer laptop and when she came up she could not get it to connect to the net gear, do you know what year your laptop is, and if it does not have it built in what do I need to get, thank you

I'll do my best here! I have a desk top, and a wireless router--because my printer is wireless. When I got my laptop, which is almost identical to this, all I had to do was stick a card in the side of it and it found the wireless network all by itself. I was amazed because I didnt have to do anything. I also took my laptop to N.C. My inlaws there have a laptop only. Again, I pluged mine up, and I was 'off to the races'!! I might mention too, that I have the wireless net gear too. I'm not positive of the year it was made. I'll try to find out, but as you know, it is older but still very reliable! I think it would be worth trying out.

60mb hard drive doesn't seem right... Perhaps is 6 GB like the one from the link?
