The listing, Rare Vintage Book, 1953 "The Church and Mental Health" has ended.
A practical book which fosters cooperation among the various professions concerned with mental health.
"A constructive attempt to bridge the gap that exists between psychotherapy abd religion, this book begins where the two fields overlap, intertwine and conflict. Dr. Roberts shows that each group can meet on common ground and can work together toward objectives they both desire." David E. Roberts
The book is is great shape for a book from 1953, it is acceptable. The cover is present, however it is badly worn, and hangs on in two pieces rather than one. In the photo I removed it to show the condition of the book, as good, and the condition of the cover, as bad, separately. I read the first 100 pages of this book, and found it very interesting. It was written by doctors, psychologist, and religious leaders as marvelous attempt to bridge the gaps between these professions.
The authors, and scholars that contributed to this book are Paul B. Maves, Gotthard Booth, David E. Roberts, David E. Roberts, Florence, John T. McNeill, Steward Hiltner, Cyril C. Richardson, Gene E. Bartlett, Luther E. Woodward, Howard C. Schade. Ernest E. Bruder, Dallas Pratt, Ruel E. Howe, and Daniel Blain.
Condition: Acceptable: A book with obvious wear. May have some damage to the cover but integrity still intact. The binding may be slightly damaged but integrity is still intact. Possible writing in margins, possible underlining and highlighting of text, but no missing pages or anything that would compromise the legibility or understanding of the text.
