I also agree that it's genuine. It's called a Hamptons Weekend Patchwork Small Tote and was made in 2005.

On my "favorite" subject of those so-called Authenbticity Guides ...ALMOST EVERY SINGLE ONE POSTED ON THE INTERNET IS GARBAGE. They're loaded with out-of-date, incomplete or just plain WRONG information and most of them spread by being Copied&Pasted from one clueless writer by ANOTHER clueless writer who adds another piece of BS that's she's picked up at yet another Carp site, or from some know-nothing's blog someplace. Most of those pieces of trash were posted years ago and are about as valid as a 1909 driving license. Please ignore anything you find in anyone's Blog or at those so-called answer pages posted at major websites.

Just because anyone can post those Guides doesn't mean they should. And anyone who wastes their time reading them, Saving them, or heaven forbid, actually using them to make buying decisions, is making a horrible and expensive mistake. As I've said many times, you'd have a better chance making the right decision by tossing a coin or using a Quija Board.

There are maybe a dozen VALID Guides out there, and NONE OF THEM WILL EVER CLAIM THAT ONE OR TWO FEATURES "PROVE" A COACH IS GENUINE. There's NO way to do that and no shortcuts to authenticating. Even some of the "rules" that supposedly always prove a Coach is fake can have exceptions. For valid guides that don't claim to have all the answers but that actually have useful and correct information, start at Ebay with the six Guides posted by seller "Salearea" and with Daria48's Fake Coach Serial Numbers list:

Thanks for the info! The problem I see is that now I feel like the bag I have had sitting in the top of my closet for years will still be sitting there because I won't get a bid!! I wish that I would have gotten a direct message that I could have answered without all of this!!! The upside is that I now have a lot of great and useful information from ya'll! Seller, this bag is ABSOLUTELY AUTHENTIC. That guide on ebay is not correct at all. The serial number & creed are 100% Coach.

seller, the problem is many-fold. Some sellers equate more photos with "you are selling a fake". The main problem is the request for better or more photos here will only be repeated on the site that the mods are referring sellers to. Then the subsequent problem is some of those authenticators on TPF ARE here and blocked. So when the seller goes to TPF, guess what? Those sellers are then on the 'whatever' list and won't be authenticated.

The one poster who inaccurately described your item as fake is wrong. Most of us who will authenticate ARE on other sites. I don't know why some people think they are so unique. Secret: the interwebs have been around for a while. It is not a small world, after all!! ;-)

Thanks for listing the serial number on the creed patch but it's also important to be able to read the patch to verify authenticity... would better lighting help it to come in clearer? I appreciate you trying.. thanks much! What are the measurements of the bag?

The bag is a small tote and measures approximately 11"L x 7 1/2"H x 4"W. The patch can be read but the suede material makes it difficult to photograph no matter the lighting I have used. Sorry but I have tried with no luck to get it to look better!
