I won this from a fabulous Listia seller here about 2 years ago. I rarely wear it and it is too big now that I lost some weight so I am sadly giving it back to auction again to my fellow Listia fans! The first pics show the color of the stone best.

"This is one of the more exotic gemstones that you won't find in hardly any jewelry store. It was named for J. P Morgan who found it. It is a peachy pink color and is huge. It has a raised up stone held by 4 prongs and a gorgeous setting with intricate detail around it. There is a very wide band on it.

It is a 7 1/2 or 8, but fits more like a 7 1/2 due to the width of the band. This is from my jewelry collection that I sell at online sites and at craft fairs. It is marked $50, which is below market value. You won't see another one like this any time soon (probably in your lifetime). lol"

So technically he didn't find it himself but he had funded the expeditions of the man who did find it, so this was named for him in his honor.

This stone is huge and clear it is simply unbelievable! Ring is marked 925 and tested to be solid sterling silver. It has been a great pleasure and an honor to have this in my collection but now it is time to pass it on to another lucky lady to hold onto and enjoy.
