However, in zones 8 and higher they establish permanent root systems and come back from year to year. Once established they need very little watering."

I do love my 4 O clocks, they are so very EZ to care for, plant the seeds and forget a bout them and the next thing you know here they come.

Once they root yes, seens like every day you can go look at them and they have grown a inch. they will be about 3 to 4 foot tall.
