No, not defective - there was a money back refund offered when it was purchased - it is a common advertising method for many companies. You buy, send in your receipt and the upc to prove you bought it, and they refund some part of the purchase price to you. As for "new" it was purchased about a month ago - I put the "new" in quotes because the box it self has a little damage - the UPC has been torn off. The box is still sealed and has never been opened. I got it specifically to put on Listia - just takes my time - and figured someone might need one and prefer to use points to get it rather than their own "cash."

So another words it was really a rebate. And she is right I had purchased software and it had a rebate. Just thought I would help with the confusion.

Thanks Shellabee - I guess I just used the wrong word! Should have used rebate instead of refund - just goofed! LOL Sometimes my mind gets a "senior" moment! LOL
