Up for bids is an iTrip, so far as I know, this one is for the 1st generation only. I got this in a box of stuff. I know very little about this item, but here's what I do know:
It DOES NOT work with knock off ipods. Yep, didn't work with mine, the jacks are reversed,
It DOES NOT work with all nano players. I already gave it to someone once and got it back because it didn't work with their player (non 1st gen).
Basically, if you don't have a 1st gen nano, I wouldn't bother bidding on this.
I have no reason to believe this won't work. It was sealed in bulk packaging when I first recieved it and, so far as I know, it hasn't even been used, as it's not compatible with the players it's been tried with. However, I'm listing this AS-IS. I truly hope this will work for whoever picks it up, but should it not, may I congratulate you on your aquisition of a shiny new paperweight! LOL
Basically, I don't want to toss this out if it could be of use to someone, but no one I know has a 1st gen nano. Can you use it?

I'm not sure. I have a knockoff nano, so occasionally I get things that aren't compatible with it that I list.

I don't think there's a huge amount of difference that isn't either cosmetic or slight enhancement of displays and that sort of thing. I did see a photo one time in the gageteer of a couple ipods stacked together and the distance between the dock connector and 3.5mm jack looked slightly further apart on the 2nd gen than the 1st - I wonder if that's a big reason this won't work with others. My knockoff, the connector and 3.5mm are completely reversed, so it REALLY didn't work!
